Package Coalition Statement on House Oversight Committee Markup of Postal Reform Bill

Washington, D.C. - The following is a statement from Package Coalition Chairman, Secretary John McHugh, in response to today’s markup of the Postal Service Reform Act of 2021:

“The Package Coalition commends Chairwoman Maloney and Ranking Member Comer for their bipartisan efforts to advance postal reform legislation, and we encourage Congress to support and pass the Postal Service Reform Act of 2021. The legislation includes important financial reforms and recognizes the Postal Service’s essential role in providing an integrated delivery network for mail and packages at least six days a week. This bill is fundamental to ensuring that the Postal Service can continue to serve as a critical component of America’s economic infrastructure, bringing goods, supplies, medicines and more straight to our doorsteps at reliable, competitive and affordable prices.”
