Package Coalition Statement on U.S. Senate Committee on Homeland Security & Governmental Affairs Postal Hearing

Washington, D.C. - The following is a statement from Package Coalition Chairman, Secretary John McHugh, in response to this morning’s Senate Committee on Homeland Security & Governmental Affairs hearing: 

“We are grateful to the Homeland Security & Governmental Affairs Committee for calling this critical hearing and for covering the issues of service delays and the operational challenges at the Postal Service.

“We echo the Postmaster General’s call today for Congress to provide emergency assistance for COVID-related losses. Now is the time to provide the support necessary, so that the Postal Service can continue its operations at full capacity through this difficult time. ”
